Director Tim Kearney

Tim Kearney

Hello Fellow Fox River HOG Chapter Members and potential members. Let me introduce myself and tell you a bit about my duties as your Director.

My name is Tim Kearney. I was a founding member of Fox River HOG Chapter when the dealership was reorganized under a new ownership, which is now Windy City Motorcycle Company. I left the Chapter for a while as it didn’t feel like a fit personally. I was asked to give it another try and did. I’m glad I did as things had changed for the better. I have developed many friendships that would never have happened had I not. We are truly brothers and sisters.

I have served as Historian and Assistant Director. I started riding dirt bikes in the deserts of Arizona when I was much younger and have owned numerous bikes from across the Pacific. I now own two Harleys. My “Navy” bike is a 1997 Heritage Softtail and was built in tribute to my daughter and son actively serving in the Navy. I also have 2017 Streetglide CVO.

As the Director of this Chapter, I will work with your Board to implement goals and objectives which are important to all of our membership. I do strongly believe with the support of our  board members, the Dealership, and our Chapter members we can grow, as well as raise this great chapter to new levels while riding more than ever.

Our chapter is a family oriented and about turning new members into friends.  Our primary goal is to ride, have fun and support Fox River Harley Davidson.  We are a chapter that rides and seeks opportunities to explore roads throughout the United States. Last season, we had 100 rides on our calendar. We schedule rides that are local and over-night trips during the riding season. The goal is to have rides that accommodate all of our members.  In the off season, we are involved in numerous social activities.

In year 2012, the Chapter has established an internal mileage program for the Chapter members. This program has challenged our members to ride more.  In a year the Chapter collectively rode close to 500,000 miles.  The membership has grown to about 300 members.

Our chapter meetings are on every 2ndTuesday of the month. We are currently holding our meetings at the VFW in Batavia at 645 S. River Street. In our meeting we cover chapter status, activities, and scheduled rides.  If you are interested or just new to Harley-Davidson, explore our website and feel free to reach out to any officer for questions or concerns.
